The advent of Digital Versatile Disk (DVD) home video has made the packaging and retail sale of classic and contemporary television series in their entirety not only convenient for individual collectors but also profitable for the studios that produce the series. One need only check the soaring sales of titles such as HBO's The Sopranos or any of the volumes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer to observe this phenomenon. Because of this, I am no longer offering any series for trade that becomes (or may conceiveably become) available on DVD. Instead, the focus of this trading page will shift to those lesser-known, shorter-run U.S. series (lasting only two seasons or less) as well as overseas series (such as Ultraman) whose fan base is loyal but perhaps too small to warrant a domestic U.S. DVD release. Please keep in mind that I DO NOT SELL tapes or DVDs. My only objective with my Personal Video Collection is to collect and preserve various programs. This is a hobby, not a business and has no connection whatsoever to any other company. No warranty or guarantee of any kind is made on any tapes that I trade. All tapes are traded collector to collector with no rights given or implied, and all material is assumed to be in the public domain.

****TRADES****

I trade tapes on an equal-time basis, (i.e. 1 hour for 1 hour, 2 hours for 2 hours, etc.) in order to acquire wanted episodes of programs so as to have a more complete listing. If you have nothing in the way of videos to trade, but would still like a copy of one of my programs, I will trade for blanks. You send me 2X the amount of blanks necesary to fulfill your request—plus the cost of return postage—and I mail back half that number with your material on them. The other half I keep as my “compensation” for fulfilling your request. The amount of blanks to send is dependent upon the length of the series you wish recorded and speed at which you’d like your copies made (SP/LP/EP). Please feel free to email me if you have an alternative arrangement in mind. I am always willing to trade for *other* items besides tapes.
